Saint Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. My hubby and I do not always celebrate the day, it tends to differ year to year and is completely dependent on what day of the week it falls on. It’s not that we don’t love to celebrate love, we still after being together for 30 years are mad about one another. That man is truly my other half, and I wouldn’t know what to do without him.
Part of the reason we downplay Valentine’s Day some years is because our anniversary is the week before (February 9th) and we consider that our special day to celebrate our love for each other. We also feel that we do not necessarily need one particular day to show a loved one how much we care…it should be done in small ways each and every day.
Since both our anniversary and Valentine’s Day fall so closely together; we instead call February the month of love.
And naturally if we are going to have a date night during the month of love, I most absolutely need to have a pretty frock for the occasion. Here are a few outfit options for your special celebration whether you want to go big or stay home.
