Truth be told, I’m not that girl that jumps on every trend.
First off, some trends are a blip on the radar. Here today, gone tomorrow. Why spend money on something that you feel is not sustainable?
Secondly, some are too age specific. I find them enticing but think better of it. Sorry, I don’t want to be that woman that people look at and say “oy, she wishes she was *insert age here*”.
And lastly, there are some I simply don’t care for. Whether it be a bold color, material or cut. If I don’t find it appealing, I’m going to refrain.
That being said, this year there are some trends that are quite frankly…ME! Items that are already in my closet. Aesthetics I am already drawn to. Pallets I find appealing.
Here are a few of the trends that I have spotted for this year and can really get behind.
Growing up in New England ‘Coastal Chic’ is in our DNA. Preppy nautical isn’t a trend for us it is a lifestyle. Easy casual pieces that pair well with one another that you can throw on and go.
Albeit ‘Animal Magnetism’ is a daring choice. Yet, it has stood the test of time. Now considered a neutral, it can easily pair with other colors and patterns.
Hands down the sweetest trend is ‘Pretty in Pink’. This ultra feminine hue has had us infatuated for several years now and isn’t going away anytime soon.
