I don’t know about you; I’m in the midst of some serious spring fever. This weekend we change the clocks back. Hello extra sunshine! And finally, we have some warmer temperatures. No more of that blistering winter cold.
Of course, this prompts a wardrobe refresh. We start pulling items from our closet that have been passed over for months. A closet purge begins. What do we keep, toss or donate? And naturally what new items are we on the hunt for?
This year my list was simple. Sustainable affordable pieces that easily transition through not just spring into summer, but wearable throughout the year. I’m excited to share some items that I’ve purchased for the upcoming season.

A button-down shirt is the perfect wear now, wear later item. You can pair it with jeans, shorts or even wear over a dress in place of a light jacket. This cotton poplin is available in multiple colors. Personally, I can’t get enough of this periwinkle/blue hue.

There is nothing more comfortable than a soft terry cotton long sleeve boat neck t-shirt. And the blue and white stripe scream summer! (PS it comes in red/white too.)

Can one live in New England and not own a cable knit sweater? It really isn’t possible. And with this lightweight oversize cotton version you will be comfy AND warm on those cooler spring/summer days/nights. This too is available in three colors. I prefer the ivory as a great go with anything neutral.

Confession I have never owned a pair of white jeans. I’ve always loved the way they looked…on other people. I had never been capable of finding a pair that were flattering on me. Until now. I actually have these in blue and was ecstatic to discover they came in white.

These “camp-pocket wide leg pants” in cotton are a dream. I first purchased them in black and not only loved the fit received many compliments. Now if I like an item and it comes in other colors you better believe I’ll be getting more. The navy blue will be an excellent color for spring/summer. (I’m also smitten with the khaki.)

A trench coat is a definite need for those April showers. And this cropped version will pair nicely with either pants or a dress.

Chunky beaded necklaces are here to stay this season. This one speaks to me and says summer in all the best ways possible. The different shades of blue remind me of the sky meeting the ocean. The khaki stones are the sun and sand. And the icing on the cake is that slight pop of burgundy. LOVE!

Normally this season I hunt for a new pair of white sneakers. I literally buy a new pair every year. This year I opted to step outside my comfort zone. These cream-colored sneakers hit the mark. A mix of leather and suede with that touch of lace make them the sweetest pair I’ve come across. Best part is they are currently on sale.
